Welcome to the Board of Trustees home page.
Our board is comprised of 5 parent representatives, along with a representative from the teaching staff and the Principal. Trustees serve a 3 year term and we have staggered terms with elections every 18 months to provide stability and continuity on the Board.
The Board meets every month and the dates are published in the school newsletter. Anyone is welcome to attend, let the school office know in advance so we can make room for you.

Jenny Watson BOT Chairperson
Jenny is in her second term on the board at CPS and is the current Chair. Having worked for a number of years in the health sector in clinical research, marketing, HR and management roles, Jenny now manages her own business. She has two children, Claire and Finlay currently at CPS. Jenny leads a very competent and committed Board that works efficiently in sub committees to ensure effective governance of the school. The Board continues to steer the CPS strategic vision and works to ensure high quality teaching and a great physical school environment support a rich and holistic the delivery of the NZ curriculum.
Frances Turner
Frances has one cild at Churchill Park – Alex in Year 5. Frances’s brings over 20 years of corporate experience, particularly in implementing IT systems, with companies such as Ernst & Young and Carter Holt Harvey. In recent years, Frances has used her business skills as an arts manager in the NZ dance industry and was most recently a trustee of the NZ Dance Festival Trust. Frances is currently engaged in a new arts management role, doing strategic and business planning towards the development of a new company and in her spare time, does funding and financial management consulting work on a freelance basis for businesses and non-profits.

Justine Gunn
Justine is nearing the end of her first term on the Board and currently holds the role of Board representative on the Property subcommittee. Justine has one child at Churchill Park – Sam who is in Year 3. Justine is currently General Counsel, Gen-i at Telecom New Zealand Limited and has over 15 years experience in commercial law with a particular expertise in IT law. Justine brings legal skills, enthusiasm and energy to the role with a focus on ensuring that Churchill Park School continues to grow and prosper. Justine is very pleased to be able to offer her skills to the CPS Board and the CPS community.

Raelene Lock
Raelene is a chartered accountant who has worked for a variety of large and small accountancy and other firms throughout New Zealand. She was elected onto the Board in September 2008 and is the Board Finance Delegate (Treasurer).
Raelene has three children at Churchill Park and feels that being part of the school board is a way to give back to the community & to help her own & other children to achieve at school & enjoy their experiences there. She enjoys working with the Churchill Park staff and board and being involved in the school community.
Karen Kemp
A re-elected Board member, Karen has three children at Churchill Park – Sam and Callum in Year 7 and Daniel in Year 2. Karen has been on the Board for 3 years and was Board Secretary for most of that time. She is now the Board PTA representative. Karen is a Senior Solicitor at Chapman Tripp and has 15 years’ experience as a commercial and litigation lawyer. She advises the School on a range of issues relating to contractual obligations, employment issues and policies, health and safety and potential disputes. Karen’s skills will continue to be a valuable and useful resource for the Board and the School.

Jenny Bryan
Jenny is the Staff Representative on the Board and am currently serving my third year as in this role.
She has been teaching at Churchill Park School for the last three and a half years in the Year 3 and 4 syndicate.
Jenny finds it a pleasure working in this role with such committed Board members.
