 Four syndicate groups as outlined below
  • Junior Syndicate – Years 1 and 2 – typically 6 to 7 classes at this level – maximum class numbers at Year 1 level = 18
  • Middle Syndicate – Years 3 and 4 –typically 4 to 5 classes at this level
  • Senior Syndicate – Years 5 and 6 – typically 4 to 5 classes at this level
  • Intermediate Syndicate – Years 7 and 8 – typically 3 classes at this level
Specialist Teachers
 
Music specialist – whole school – one hour class lessons once a week
 
Science specialist – Years 6,7,8  - ‘hands on’ experimental Science lessons
 
Technology specialist - Years 7 and 8 – one and a half hour Technology block once a week
 
Information Technology specialist - in class support, small groups, staff professional development
 
Sports specialist - sports skills lessons, sports sessions, specialist coaching and tournament support
 
 
Support Initiatives
 
Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) - small group extension work, class GATE registers.
 
ESOL (English Speakers of Other Languages) – small group support teaching
 
Reading Recovery – one to one reading support programme
 
Rainbow Reading – small group reading support programme
