Pink Shirt Day 2024

Pink Wasn't Just a Color on May 17th: A Day of Kindness

On May 17th, our school hallways were awash in a sea of pink! It wasn't just a coincidence – it was Pink Shirt Day, a national movement promoting kindness and standing up to bullying. But Pink Shirt Day goes beyond wearing a pink shirt; it's about embracing empathy, acceptance, and creating a school community where everyone feels safe and supported.

This year, the spirit of kindness was truly contagious. From teachers sporting bright pink accessories to students rocking their most creative pink outfits, the positive energy was palpable. The day wasn't just about outward expressions – many classes participated in discussions and activities focused on building a culture of respect and understanding.

Whether it's including someone new at lunch, standing up for someone being targeted, or simply offering a friendly smile, small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Pink Shirt Day served as a powerful reminder that kindness is a choice we can make every day. Let's carry this spirit forward and create a school where everyone feels valued and empowered to be their true selves.
