Whānau

Karaka Whānau (Years 1-3)

Our gorgeous New Entrant children are seamlessly transitioned from their pre-schools, due to our close connections with our feeder pre-schools through our Associate Principal, Anne-Maree Beveridge.

Currently, our year one classes have approximately 18 students in each, our year two classes have 23 students, and our three classes have 27. We usually start up two New Entrant classes throughout the year.

Waitematā Whānau (Years 4-6)

The Waitematā Whānau comprises teachers Kynan Watt (Whānau Leader), Matt Hansen, Hella Tolhurst, Damyanti Daya, Eunhye Kwon and Vicki White. Currently, our classes are organised into two Year Classes and four composite year 4/5 groupings. Assisting our classroom teachers are specialist teachers Anna McLeod (music), Geoff MacCulloch (technology) and Mark Webster (Digital Technology) 

Rangitoto Whānau (Years 7 & 8)

Our boutique-sized Rangitoto Whānau comprises three composite Year 7 and 8 classes. Currently, the three classroom teachers are Ms Melissa Gainsford (Whanau Leader), Ms Chaehee Park and Mr David Dean. Assisting our classroom teachers are specialist teachers Anna McLeod (music), Lisa Peyton (science) and Mark Webster (Digital Technology)
